Easy Domain Transfer Instructions

If your domain name was registered through Network Solutions:




To transfer your domain name to our servers, you just need to fill out an Network Solutions Modification Form:

** If you setup an account with Network Solutions, you will need to go to their website at: www.networksolutions.com and click on Make Changes at the bottom and then put in your website and Account Name and Password to make these changes. 

  1. The Network Solutions Modification Form   (this form will open up in a new browser window so that this current window will stay open and you can refer to the instructions below as you fill out the form)

  3. On the first page, enter your E-Mail address and the Domain Name you are transferring to Apollo Hosting.

    Note: You must use the same e-mail address that Network Solutions has in it's database under Administrative or Billing Contact. To check which e-mail address they have listed for you, look up your domain name here and then press the button to see Whois output. 
     

  5. Your current domain name record will be pulled up.
  1. Scroll down to the Contact Information section and change the Technical Assigned NIC handle to:  SH5583

  3. Scroll down to the Name Server Information section and replace the information currently there our server information (see table below).

    Then scroll down to the bottom and press the button 'Submit this form for processing.'

    Primary Server Hostname:
    NS.SUPER-NOVA.NET
    Primary Server Netaddress:
    208.56.139.119
    Primary Server NIC Handle:
    NS49154-HST
    Secondary Server Hostname:
    NS2.SUPER-NOVA.NET
    Secondary Server Netaddress:
    208.56.138.105
    Secondary Server NIC Handle:
    NS49152-HST

    The completed template will then be e-mailed to you at the e-mail address you provided in Step 1. You must reply to the e-mail and simply send it back to Network Solutions for processing.

    Then you will get another email from Network Solutions, and you will need reply and put an: M next to 0a Auth Scheme, and a: Yes next to 1a and send this. 

    Your changes should go through within a few days.

    To check if it went through, you can look up your domain name  in a few days and press the button to see Whois output to see your InterNIC record. Once you see our Nameserver addresses listed in your domain name record, it means your domain name has started to point to our servers.

    If your transfer seems to be taking a long time, their phone numbers are: 888-642-9675, 703-742-4777. Have your NIC- number handy that you received in the subject of the email that they sent you after you completed Steps 1-3.



If your domain name was registered through Register.Com:

To point your Domain Name to our servers, you just need to log on to Register.com's Domain Name Manager and add our DNS servers (nameservers) to your domain name record:

  1. The Register.com Domain Name Manager form   (this form will open up in a new browser window so that this current window will stay open and you can refer to the instructions below as you fill out the form)

  2.  
  3. On the first page, enter your Domain Name, and the Username and Password you selected when you first registered. If you forgot your password or username, just click on the link on that page to have that information e-mailed to you.

  5. Your current domain name record will be pulled up.
Go to the Domain Name Server (DNS) section and replace the existing nameservers with these:
Primary Server Hostname:
NS.SUPER-NOVA.NET
Primary Server Netaddress:
208.56.139.119
Secondary Server Hostname:
NS2.SUPER-NOVA.NET
Secondary Server Netaddress:
208.56.138.105

Your changes should activate within a few days.


Other Domain Name Registry
(country/foreign domain name, etc.)

To transfer your domain name to our servers, you just need to fill out a Domain
Name Record Modification Form at the registry through which your domain name
was registered.

The part of your domain name record that needs to be changed is the Name
Server Information section. Replace the information currently there with:

Primary Server Hostname:
NS.SUPER-NOVA.NET
Primary Server Netaddress:
208.56.139.119
Secondary Server Hostname:
NS2.SUPER-NOVA.NET
Secondary Server Netaddress:
208.56.138.105
